"Skip Forward" can be a handy shortcut that allows you to skip ahead without changing the current state. This can be useful to skip past content while trying to find something specific

Unfortunately, "Skip Forward" is a version 2.5-only feature and is not available as a shortcut setting on earlier versions.

However you can easily "fake" a Skip Forward by entering a negative value in a Skipback shortcut:
  1. Create a new shortcut
  2. Select "Skipback" as the command
  3. Enter a negative value in the "Skip" seconds field.  e.g. use "-5" or however many seconds you want.
  4. Define a new trigger, e.g. CTRL-SHIFT-TAB
  5. Click Done and try it out!
