Occasionally you need to find your preferences file— say, to delete corrupted preferences, or to email it to Inquirium Customer Support for debugging.
In Windows 7, 10, and 11 your preferences file is located inside this directory:
C:\Users\Susan\AppData\Roaming\InqScribe\
Note: the file path above uses a hypothetical user named "Susan". You should change that to your computer username.
Note that the AppData folder is normally a hidden folder. Make sure you’ve told Windows to show hidden files and folders, or you may not see AppData. In the File Explorer click the "View" menu, select "Show" and make sure "Hidden Files" is checked.
In Mac OSX, your preferences file is located in one of these folders (depending on which version of InqScribe you're running):
Prior to Version 2.5: ~/Library/Preferences/InqScribe/
Version 2.5+: ~/Library/Application Support/InqScribe/
If you don't see the "Library" folder, go to the Finder, hold down the Option key, and select the "Go" menu. You should see "Library" listed as one of the options.
