There are two ways to adjust the timecodes in InqScribe to match times that are already burned into your media, depending on whether you are doing the offset prior to starting your work or after the fact.

1. If you haven't entered any timecodes yet, you can set a custom start time in InqScribe so it matches the first timecode on the actual footage. Go to Media > Select Media Source… and look for the “Timecode” pulldown menu. Choose “Start at Custom Time” and enter your desired start time.

2. If you want to adjust timecodes already entered in your transcript, go to Transcript > Adjust Timecodes and enter your offset value. You have the choice of applying your offset to all timecodes or just those selected.
