Because of differences in where keys are located on non-U.S. Keyboards, there are some cases where certain keys will not trigger default shortcuts.

For instance, this can sometimes happens with the semicolon key on non-U.S. keyboards, thus rendering the “Insert Time” shortcut (command-; or control-;) unusable.

Fortunately, InqScribe allows you to customize your keyboard shortcuts so that you can define your own triggers that work with your own keyboard, regardless of its language.

See the keyboard shortcuts user guide for step-by-step instructions on how to customize your keyboard shortcuts. Just be sure that the new trigger you select isn’t already assigned to a different command (default menu item commands take precedent over custom shortcuts).
